Coralie Ward
UK-based cellist, vocalist, and songwriter
The Coral Line is the artist project of UK-based cellist, vocalist, and songwriter Coralie Ward, whose music blends cinematic textures with intimate, melody-driven songwriting.
After years working behind the scenes as a session musician across recordings, film, and live performance, Coralie steps into her own voice with a sound shaped as much by atmosphere as by emotion. Her work is rooted in the cello (her first instrument) but expands into layered, ethereal compositions where voice and strings move as one.
Her performance credits include appearing on six tracks of Love Ire & Song by Frank Turner (Epitaph Records), where she also contributed backing vocals. She has also recorded for film composer Nerys Grivolas, contributing cello to internationally broadcast screen work.
Now writing and recording her own material at Cube Recording in Cornwall, her music is produced by Gareth Young, known for his work across contemporary pop and cinematic production. Together, they craft a sound that sits between alternative pop and film score: immersive, detailed, and emotionally driven.
With a deep instinct for melody at the core of her writing, The Coral Line marks a new chapter: one where years of quiet collaboration evolve into a fully realized artistic voice.
